Accessible Rental Vans, Inc. is now servicing the needs of those with mobility impairments and their families in the Mid-Atlantic area. ARV offers daily, weekly, monthly or multi-month rentals at affordable prices. With a fleet of low-mileage, gently used minivans, Accessible Rental Vans is quickly becoming the premiere van rental company in the region.
Owned and operated by Neal Lichter, a veteran of the rental car business for over 10 years, ARV will offer pickup and delivery service to Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware. "There is a need for this service in this area", says Lichter. "The opportunity presented itself for me to open this business and provide assistance to anyone who deals with mobility issues." Accessible Rental Vans differs from ambulance companies or shuttle services that only offer rides to and from a destination. ARV will rent any customer with full coverage insurance a van, so that they can use the van for any length of time.
These state-of-the-art vans are equipped with lowered floors, transfer seats, hand
controls, kneeling features and four point belt tiedown systems. This tiedown system allows the wheelchair/scooter user to be able ride from their wheelchair. "The freedom in knowing that your loved one can get to and from any appointment or family event without having to leave the security of their wheelchair is very reassuring to those who use a wheelchair or scooter", says Lichter. "Without this service, there are many wheelchair users who don't have transportation, we provide the freedom to travel, where you want to go and when you want to go there".
Accessible Rental Vans will provide all types of rentals for the community. These types of rentals include vacations, corporate rentals, insurance replacement rentals or service replacement rentals. Pick up and delivery is also available from Accessible Rental Vans.
